While the weather in April proved to be inconstant, keeping every last one of us on our toes….the stats are in for Australia’s social media usage and they’re, well, a tad more predictable. With the social media industry booming, it’s time to sign up, sign on and like that status!
The platforms that had our jaws to the floor this month are Tumblr and YouTube who gained 100,000 users each over the past month according to Social Media News monthly report. So what does this mean for us all? Put simply- get on it.

Now that everybody is a blogger (joking!), it’s time to focus in on your audience and thanks to social media this is easier than ever. With most people checking their social media daily, some hourly and some every minute –dare I say every second- we’re all exposed and ready to take in the messages being directed at us.
Targeting an audience across the platforms most relevant to them can be extremely successful with people on social media- not only to ‘socialise’ but also to find things that are of relevance and worth to them. It’s all about finding your inner social media animal and getting it right.
So what can we expect for the upcoming months? A continuous growth of Australian’s falling in love with the social media frenzy at our fingertips and hopefully some sunny days- #WishfulThinking.
